Cesc Fàbregas has urged Como to make a substantial investment in the winter transfer window to secure their place in Serie A and remain competitive. Although the club has already made notable signings, the Spanish coach still sees gaps in the squad and is pushing for at least three more reinforcements.
Interestingly, all his targets come from the same source—Barcelona—where he appears to have identified a rich pool of talent.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Fàbregas is determined to strengthen his team by acquiring up to three Barça players. One of these moves has already been finalized: Álex Valle is joining Como on loan, terminating his previous arrangement with Celtic.
The young full-back had seen his role diminish in Glasgow, but Como is offering him a key position in their squad, making it an attractive opportunity for his development.
However, Valle is just one of the targets Fàbregas has in mind. Barcelona president Joan Laporta is well aware of Como’s interest and sees the Italian club as a potential transfer partner before the window closes. Two more notable Barça players could soon follow Valle to Italy—Ansu Fati and Eric García.
Ansu Fati is increasingly aware that he is not in Hansi Flick’s plans and urgently needs to find a new club where he can play regularly. The young forward has been excluded from recent matchday squads, and Flick has personally informed him that he will not be given game time. Seeking a fresh start, Fati is considering Como, where Fàbregas could offer him a prominent role, possibly as a starter. However, other LaLiga clubs, including Real Betis and Sevilla, are also interested in signing him on loan.
Meanwhile, the third target, Eric García, finds himself in a different situation. With Ronald Araújo firmly established in Barcelona’s defense, García’s opportunities are likely to shrink further.
A move away could benefit both him and Barça, as the Catalan club hopes to generate around €15 million from his sale. Several Spanish clubs, including Girona and Real Sociedad, have expressed interest, but Como is emerging as a strong contender for his signature.
Fàbregas is making an aggressive push in the transfer market, and Laporta understands the significance of these negotiations. As the deadline approaches, important deals could be finalized, with Como standing to gain significantly from their close ties with Barcelona.
