Paul Pogba Poised to Move to Barcelona

Paul Pogba has disclosed that he has received multiple offers from clubs as he prepares for a return to football in one of Europe’s top leagues.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who previously played for Manchester United and Juventus, is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Juventus in November.

His departure followed a suspension for using a banned substance, which was later reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Pogba’s last competitive match was in September 2023, but he will be eligible to play again in March. Since January, he has had the opportunity to negotiate with and sign for a new club.

Speaking to Twitch streamer Amine, the former World Cup winner confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding his return to football. However, he emphasized that he is only interested in joining a top-tier club.

“There are offers, some are interesting, while others are not,” Pogba stated. “Going to Russia is not an option. Playing for a club competing in the Champions League? That’s always the goal, but the decision isn’t solely mine. Discussions are taking place, and things are being finalized. I can’t say more at this moment.”

Despite Pogba hinting that an agreement is close, ESPN reports that a deal is still some way off. However, the outlet confirms that he has received offers from clubs in Europe’s top five leagues.
