Cesc Fàbregas has urged Como to make a significant investment in the winter transfer market to secure their place in Serie A and remain competitive. While the club has already made some notable signings, the Spanish coach believes the squad is still incomplete and is pushing for at least three more additions. His primary target for reinforcements is FC Barcelona, where he appears to have found a rich source of talent.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Fàbregas is making a determined effort to bolster Como’s squad with up to three players from Barcelona. One of these moves has already been finalized, with young defender Álex Valle joining Como on loan after terminating his current arrangement with Celtic.
Valle had been losing prominence in Glasgow, and Como offers him an opportunity to play a more influential role in the team.
However, Valle is not the only Barcelona player on Fàbregas’s radar. Club president Joan Laporta is well aware of Como’s interest and recognizes that the Italian side could become a crucial partner in the transfer market. In addition to Valle, Fàbregas is eyeing two more significant reinforcements: Ansu Fati and Eric García.
Ansu Fati is in a difficult situation at Barcelona, as he is not part of Hansi Flick’s plans. He has been excluded from recent squad selections, and the coach has made it clear in direct conversations that he will not get much playing time. Given his need for regular minutes, Como presents an attractive opportunity where Fàbregas is offering him a key role, possibly even as a starter.
However, Ansu Fati has also drawn interest from several LaLiga clubs, including Real Betis and Sevilla, who are considering loan deals for the young forward.
The third potential signing is Eric García, whose situation differs as his transfer would involve a financial commitment. With Ronald Araújo staying at Barcelona, García’s role in the squad would be further reduced, making a move likely.
His departure is seen as an essential step for Barcelona to strengthen their squad elsewhere. Girona and Real Sociedad have already expressed interest, but Como is also making a serious push to secure the defender.
Barcelona is looking to generate around €15 million from García’s sale, and Como’s pursuit is viewed as a positive development. With Fàbregas determined to reshape his squad, and Laporta aware of the opportunities this partnership presents, the coming weeks could see some major deals materialize.
