One of Arsenal’s key targets is Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, but securing the Swedish international could require a bid of around £150 million to convince Newcastle to part with him. To generate the necessary funds, Arsenal is considering selling players like Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior.

Zinchenko, in particular, appears to be on the brink of departure after falling out of favor with Arteta and enduring a challenging season. Recent reports suggest that Zinchenko’s diminishing role in the squad has led to increased speculation about his exit.

Zinchenko joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and initially played a vital role as an inverted full-back. However, his importance in Arteta’s plans has waned significantly, with the Ukrainian making just two Premier League starts this season and only one appearance since the opening weekend.

Arteta has been prioritizing other options, such as Myles Lewis-Skelly, a highly-rated teenager ranked among the most promising young players by FourFourTwo. Zinchenko was benched during the FA Cup clash against Manchester United, with Kieran Tierney—whom he initially replaced in the squad—coming on as a substitute.

Arsenal’s decision to potentially sell Zinchenko coincides with their recruitment of Riccardo Calafiori last summer, signaling the manager’s intent to strengthen the left-back position. However, both Calafiori and Zinchenko have struggled with injuries this season, further complicating the situation.
