RB Leipzig plans to honor this agreement but could be swayed by an enticing bid. Barcelona’s financial struggles might limit their ability to secure Sesko, potentially giving Arsenal an edge. They remain interested in Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, but his wage demands, exceeding £300,000 per week, present challenges. Alternatives include Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

Adding a forward this month would help Arsenal address their injury crisis, which has sidelined key players. Bukayo Saka is recovering from a hamstring injury, while Gabriel Jesus is out for the season due to a knee issue. Manager Mikel Arteta has emphasized the importance of strengthening the team’s attacking options.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s match against Aston Villa, Arteta acknowledged the pressing need for reinforcements: “We are actively seeking the most effective solution. I won’t discuss specific player profiles here, but we’ve lost two critical players in our attacking line and need additional support.”
