Once again, Zinedine Zidane is surrounded by speculation linking him to the managerial role at Manchester United. The French football icon, who has been out of management since his second spell with Real Madrid, is rumored as a potential successor to Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag is currently under pressure after United’s shaky start to the Premier League season. Zidane, although quiet since leaving Madrid, has not dismissed a return to coaching, which has kept the rumors alive.
Zidane’s recent visit to Real Betis’ training facility, where his son Elyaz trains, has stirred up more talk about his potential comeback. While this visit appeared personal, some see it as a subtle hint that Zidane may be preparing for a return to football management, possibly in the Premier League. The timing of this visit aligns with United’s current struggles, adding further weight to the speculation.
Manchester United has long held admiration for Zidane. His exceptional success at Real Madrid, including leading the team to three consecutive Champions League titles, has earned him respect across the football world.
